Principal Hotel Wedding York-Meg & Will
Can you get married in the middle of a pandemic? Yes, you can! Can you have a hotel all to yourself for you to married? Yes, yes, you can! Meg and Will bit the bullet and tied the knot in April at the fantastic wedding venue, the Principal Hotel, York.
Their perseverance was rewarded by having the whole hotel to themselves. With no guests other than their chosen six, Meg and Will had this epic wedding venue all to themselves. Like many eager couples, they had to postpone their wedding day.
Boris decreed 6 people to witness Meg and Will finally make their commitment to one another, and it was just extraordinary. Their wedding venue had stunning Victorian architecture, manicured lawns and views of the York Minster make the Principal York the perfect setting for their wedding day.
The day was a sunny, crisp April morning as I rode my E-scooter into town, soaking up Yorks historical air. I eagerly and some-what impatiently couldn’t wait to shoot my first wedding since the pandemic. It was made extra special by capturing the awesomely brave and laid back Will and Meg. They obviously had an eye for good photography (if I don’t say so myself) and booked my right when I had just started in 2018. Soon after, we met to shoot their pre-wedding photos. I immediately knew that I’d enjoy creating some fantastic images for them – their York pre-wedding shoot is here if you want to take a peek. As a York wedding photographer, I’m thankful for the couples who look at my images and want to book me. I like to create a relaxed environment and try and let the day unfold. Meg and Will’s day was made very special by overcoming the restrictions in a fantastic place, with superb weather and even more awesome chosen guests.
Thank you so much for having me along for the ride.
So without further ado…
