Hargate Hall Wedding-Lea and Jon

Hargate Hall

UK Destination Wedding Photographer

For me, a UK destination wedding photographer, nothing beats a good, old-fashioned union – simply two souls coming together supported by friends and family and having a celebration.

That’s precisely what we got with Lea and Jons’s wedding in today’s post.

Initially, like many of my Destination Weddings this year, I met the couple some time ago for their wedding photoshoot in Manchester. Life and soul of the party, these two had a great connection, and we got some fantastic shots; if you’d like to check out their engagement shoot, I’ll leave that link here

Meet The Happy Couple

Our happy couple Lea and Jon, certainly have taken their love around the globe, with Lea originally from Canada and Jon in the UK; they currently reside in Dubai. As teachers, they’re now looking to take their knowledge further afield to Asia – and if one thing couldn’t stand out to me more… it’s how relaxed and content they are about life.

The Venue

As a UK Destination Wedding Photographer, I’ve found myself travelling around the country far and wide to various venues. Today, our couple chose to hold their wedding ceremony in Hargate Hall, Buxton, a beautiful hideaway hall located in the Peak District

Hargate Hall’s rented out by a lovely couple, offering this stately home for weddings and UK getaways. I’d highly recommend checking out their website if you have the opportunity to, which I’ll leave linked here

As I arrived at the venue, I was met by Lea and Jon, both ready and eager for the ceremony ahead, but also so relaxed and just happy that their day had at long last arrived. So peaceful, I think they just wanted to go with the flow at some stages of the day.

Making their way down into the venue, all the awaiting guests had their first opportunity to see Lea and Jon. Across the statement balcony, they made their way down the stairs and to the alter. For an extra special touch, the celebrant for the ceremony happened to be a friend – someone who truly knew the couple inside and out. We enjoyed some laughs and giggles, accompanied by some hilarious ‘heckles’ from a cheery friend in the audience, which entertained the entire room.

Once again, after saying ‘I do,’ the couple got to make their way back down the statement staircase. Accept this time, dancing happily as Husband and Wife. Sat inside the characteristic building, I captured the couple and guests making their way into the evening as a BYOD (bring your own drink) venue.

Everywhere you looked, someone was happily enjoying themselves to their home beverages. Something I thought was a nice touch. As I often mention, I love nothing more than getting to know family, friends, and the happy couple; as a person who loves to travel, it helps my work and a little added touch that helps me learn more about people’s lives and stories.

As the night came to a close, I left the party to carry away into the moonlight. If you’re interested in my services or simply would like to inquire about them, then please reach out to me at enquiries@alastingshot.co.uk
